Bandwidth Fair Use Policy & Limitations

Virtual Private Servers

Each VPS (Virtual Private Server) contains unmetered bandwidth, subject to fair use. We reserve the right to impose bandwidth caps, or suspend your service, if we detect abuse of this policy.

Fair use is defined as using in excess of 5TB of Bandwidth per 2GB of RAM Purchased, as an example of this, a 8GB VM using in excess of 20TB of bandwidth would be subject to fair use restrictions, this policy is applied at the discretion of Hypere, and is not designed to affect the day-to-day usability of your service, we will proactively reach out, wherever possible, should we detect your VPS is using an abnormal amount of traffic. In instances where this is not possible such as when your usage greatly exceeds fair use, affects other customers, or imposes a risk to our network, we reserve the right to immediately suspend access to our network.

Each virtualization node is capable of 20Gbps (Full Duplex) in clean (post-mitigation) traffic. Any individual VPS is able to burst up to 10Gbps (unless specified otherwise on a specific plan). This restriction is in place to ensure that no individual node will become overloaded by a singular customer, and to ensure service continuity.

Dedicated Servers

Bandwidth usage is calculated at a fixed rate for all Dedicated servers. An "included quota" of 30TB (50TB on Ryzen 7000) is used as standard for all dedicated servers with our standard 1/10Gbps ports. We shall continually monitor your traffic rates to monitor this usage.

Any bandwidth over the included quota, will be billed, in arrears, at a rate of £2.50/TB. This will automatically be added onto any re-occurring invoice. You are able to monitor your bandwidth usage at any time, using our control panel.

If you become aware, at any point, that your bandwidth will include your included quota, please reach out to our sales department ([email protected]), we are usually able to offer bandwidth at a lower cost, should the overage be pre-agreed with our sales team.

Microblade Dedicated Servers

Bandwidth usage is calculated at a fixed rate for any Microblade Dedicated servers. An "included quota" of 30TB is used as standard for all dedicated servers with our standard 1/10Gbps ports. We shall continually monitor your traffic rates to monitor this usage.

Any bandwidth over the included quota, will be billed, in arrears, at a rate of £2.5/TB. This will automatically be added onto any re-occurring invoice. You are able to monitor your bandwidth usage at any time, using our control panel.
